About Ski Patrol
National Ski Patrol (NSP) is a federally-chartered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to promoting safety and providing emergency care services in alpine environments across the country. NSP is the leading authority on mountain safety, comprised of volunteer and paid members dedicated to protecting and serving our mountain communities. Learn more about National Ski Patrol history.
Red Lodge Ski Patrol is currently composed of approximately 25 paid and 35 volunteer members who require training and education throughout the year in the classroom as well as on the mountain. Most training is performed by patrol members however we also recruit healthcare professionals. Members also attend avalanche hazard mitigation and technical rope rescue training conducted by professional organizations. Our Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) and Outdoor Emergency Transportation (OET) courses require medical supplies and equipment to provide realistic scenarios for training and certification.

We greatly appreciate your tax-deductible contributions which enable us to purchase the materials and equipment, and attend the courses necessary to maintain our high level of proficiency when responding to guests in need.
